DOW2 Dedicated Discord Servers
Hi all,

A while back, two DOW2 players.. Oskar and me realized there were no dedicated DOW II discord servers for players to use to meet and talk with other players, since Steam groups are not the happening places these days for DOW2 stuff.

With that, we decide to make two servers for players. One for DOW2/CR/Retribution (campaign and PVP), and other is for Last Stand (focusing on Retribution since most players play that).

So, I made this post to invite any players to join these DOW II servers (a soft reopening for these servers).

I actually got into a game! with actual PEOPLE! Unfortunately they all left...

So this is my last week before winter vacation. Who is up for a tournament this weekend ? I say we should try to organise one! I probably won`t be able to respond untill friday, so I`ll leave most of the work to Nomuit. And by most i mean all (if he has the time of course).

WOW I have not been on in a while. Thankfully, and sadly, not much has happened in the meantime. Hello Vorink, and welcome to the group. I put Sardinite in charge of stuff since he seemed to be the one of the only people actually trying to play with the group. I personally can't play, since my copy doesn't work on my computer, and I'm not certain why. Still, I'd love to play with you if I could. And yeah, Sardinite is the one to talk to if you want to play.

Glad to hear back from you! I certainly understand the absence, and depending on the times of the tournament, I shall try my best to be there. Perhaps I can see about getting at least one other participant as well.

Hi Vorink, currently i`m not very active beacause of university! I think i`ll try to organise a tournament again near the holidays, but i have my doubts that we`ll gather more than 3-4 people. But hey we never know :D

CaladBolg, from what I (hazily) recall of how D.O.W. works, it may (possibly?) act like games/software such as Counter-Strike: Source, and such, where certain servers in-game may be running content you don't have/can't download, and therefore are unplayable. I don't remember if this is the case, and if so, if it notifies you (however it might) BEFORE you try to join the server, but eh.

In response to Reconz: Doesn't look like much is happening in the group, so it doesn't seem to matter.

I'll certainly try and group chat with you, VulpeX, while ya'll are playing. Now as for you, Sardinite, it's whatever you want to play. The group is just to make it easier for people to find others to play with. If you want to play a 1V1 with VulpeX, for isntance, then you can. Or, if you want to play a 3V3 with VulpeX, you, and Engita against MrNerob, myself, and Recon (obviously a hypothetical, since I can't play)

Amm first you heretics and xenos are we talking about games that are team maches like 2v2 or 3v3 or only 1v1 ?

Till end of the month I'm having a lot of spare time, so I will try to check in here and the game more regularly. After that we'll see what is posssible - since I'm working in a kitchen my rota is pretty weird. Maybe this is even an advantage for some other pals here. Yes - I'm looking at you New Zealand!
For a start I would like to establish the Thursday as my personal Waaaargh! day. Maybe this is a way to get some more people together. Even if we only have some group chat ...

And Engita, for clarification, can play as well. He's probably your best/closest player, MrNerob.

All right then. Sadly, MrNerob, New Zealand is one of those places where it's just isolated. No matter who you play with in the group, you're going to have to play in times that are a bit 'eh' for a normal schedule. Now then, I assume all of ya'll that have bothered to answer can play the game (unlike me) - when do ya'll want to play? Let's start with a small game with as many of us as we can. As we get into a rhythm, and get more people in the group (and more of them to start playing, as well), we'll split up into 'shifts', based on our time zones/on-line hours, which we'll play in (of course, this would just be to make it easier to find people to play with. Obviously it's perfectly acceptable for you to play with anyone. For the best interaction within the group, we'd try and rotate it occasionally, so people meet others and chat more.).
