@ Rusty_Rubbish: All VAC bans are permanent - Valve has a zero-tolerance policy for cheating and will not lift VAC bans under any circumstances.

Important note regarding VAC bans:

In the event that a hijacked Steam account is banned by the Valve Anti-Cheat System, Steam Support can not remove the by the ban.


On another note, It is your responsibility if your account being hijacked by someone else. But if you still think it was by mistake please contact Steam Support.
