Dota 2 Custom Realms

Dota 2 CR is a lobby program for dota 2, 100% inspired by the custom games of old warcraft 3. Basically allowing anyone to host with automatic hosting and updating built right into the program, it will eliminate hassle from extracting and copying GB's of dota 2 files every time.

Dota 2 CR will allow hosting a variety of Map types, including:

- Dota OMG
- Dota OMG Balanced
- Dota LoD (with -deathmatch option)
- Reverse Captains Mode (with -wtf option)
- Pudge Wars
- Greevlings
- Diretide
- 5v5 all mid (with same skill option / with duplicate hero option)
- 3v3 normal games
- 2v2 mid tactical
- 1v1 mid (with same hero option)

Yes, all abilities work 100%. Sounds and animations on any hero.
Yes, we have successfully programmed Death Match to work.
No, Invoker skills are not available. (yet)

DotaCR has been updated, and now supports dedicated servers, so you can create a lobby and play without needing to set up a server or portforward!

If you already have DotaCR, it will prompt you to update.

If you don't ready have DotaCR, download it here: http://dota2cr.com/client.zip

Note that your Antivirus may tell you one of the dll files is suspicious - You can safely ignore this, if you don't believe me then upload it to VirusTotal.

For those interested in hosting dedicated servers, the dedicated server manager is here: http://dota2cr.com/server.zip
Please note dedicated servers do require port forwarding and so on, so make sure to test by running a non-dedicated server first!

Hi all,

You may remember DotaCR as a client that modded Dota 2 to host OMG and LOD games way back before D2ware was a thing.

Well, its back from the dead (and less buggy!), plus it now integrates another mod called Frota that adds tons of cool gamemodes. You should really give it a go!

Please be aware that you need good internet to host full 5v5s.

Known issues: Teams in lobby don't match teams ingame, Frota download can take a while and progress bar is misleading.
