How do I get the June 1st 2018 version of steam?
This was the version before the update which removes skins for the friends list, but I can't locate any of the files, and I'm a little confused on how I would even install it.

The 2019 version is the latest you could possibly install and get to your library at all if you use a library cache converter. At least you used to be, I am not sure if it's still possible.

In any case, getting it to work at all is hacky, and you shouldn't expect anything to work other than launching games.
