Nice-to-know fact, there is a special winter event for C-S:S to obtain the gift grab. Its not meant for the every year winter event we know. Information source is steam support.

The last update from steam support was "there is no winter event planned for the c-s:s gift grab" You´ll get the information if there is a gift grab for c-s:s by following Counter Strike: Source and by checking out the Steam news under community. The Links are here:

The Gift Grab achievement used to work online on servers and by creating your own server. I think if this worked offline you would get the achievement afterwards by going online. Steam support says there is no winter event for Counter-Strike: Source planed, this is the reason we can´t obtain it at winter :(

I wander how people who have the achievement make it? By simply playing on the server (online or offline)?

I was able to get "good guy nick" this year. Hope they will do this again for those who missed it.

The same goes for "good guy nick" in left for dead 2. Valve is great at making 99% games.

There are so many trying to get this achievement. Just wonder why there wasn´t a group yet.

Good to know I'm not the only one still trying to get this achievement
