My username is actually a migratory finch, but its English name Brambling is indeed derived from the world "bramble". Whoo, blackberries and spiky stems for all!

Back in 2005 I played City of Heroes. I wanted to play a hero who used spines growing out of his body as a superpower. So I attempted to name this hero... The Porcupine; name taken. Spikes; name taken. Thorn-man; name taken... Despairing, I typed in the name of the lowliest spiky thing I could think of, and I've been The Bramble ever since...
