Any news ?

I really wanted to play this game as I did not have a computer that could handle loading it and now that do, it is all gone, shame...

I had so much hope for this.. All gone now.

it probably is a lie at this point.

Been way too long with way too little word. I can see why the publisher didn't want their name associated with it publicly, as I'd be skeptical with all the promises that never lead to anything. Tbh feels more like a troll now than anything legitimate.

well I've been hyped about the rebirth, honestly i just think hes afraid of ARK, he first shut down after their launch, he announced maybe coming back; but stopped after several ARK updates. this is something we want, i want to fight everything

Is there an update on the status? Is it still being developed or now officially dead?

I joined this group optimistic and supportive. Now I'm apathetic.

Anything would have been better than nothing. While I don't agree with this course of action, I do think videos, maybe a dev diary or something along those lines, would help both assuage worries and build hype. I'd want to get all my friends to play this with me, but I mean what can I tell them about this new version? I can't even tell them if it's ever going to come to fruition, much less the current state and what to expect!

@RdecaPesa It's already been a few years of absolutely nothing, but talk. So far now days not really even seeing much of that anymore. So seriously how are they loosing any more or less money by what I advised? The answer is they are not. It's whatever though. I wish them the best of luck with that. lol

For the record since you asked I would have done EXACTLY what I had advised them of doing mate. I don't recommend to people courses of action to take that I, myself would not personally take. Just so we are clear on that. Take care mate.

@RdecaPesa As I said it was done with PE so it shouldn't be an issue if they wanted to do it with this game. In any case what is idiotic is sitting on a game title and doing absolutely nothing with it. Half the time they are playing games like either Empyrion or 7 Days To Die. Games made by other people vs working on their own. lol So what I suggested in fact makes perfect sense until they get around to actually developing their own bloody game. If anything it brings more attention to their project. My suggestion did nothing, but help them in fact. Now whether they follow my advice that's on them.

@RdecaPesa That's actually very extremely reasonable my friend. Other developers have done it. It didn't hurt them one single bit. So I'd seriously and highly doubt everyone would jump that bandwagon with you in calling them idiots unless they are just morons themselves that follow the crowd and don't think with their own brains. lol The people who paid for it will get their updated version for free and the people who got the free version of the last client before it shut down will have to pay/buy the game when they finally produce their version. It's not rocket science. It really isn't. lol How you got Fortnite playing in to all of this I don't even know. lol So no comment there. lol

That's not even reasonable. Think, if they did it they would get glanz new issue when fortnite finaly publish BoP, for free. Would you did it if you would be in their shoes? I don't think so. If they would do so, i would declare them idiots and not just me. Everybodi would, inclusive with you. Right!

I'll ask the same thing here I did on the BOP forums. Why not put this one back up for sale at a discount or for free in the meantime like they did with Planet Explorers until the new one is out? That way people can at the very least get a taste of what is to come. Just an idea because I am sure what ever the new version is it's probably going to be a lot more higher end system specifications then what this original game version is. Why not let them see the original so they know what to expect mate or at the very least see the roots of where it came from. To me that would make more sense and help renew interest in the game. Either way best of luck with it mates.

@afrocado; Burnz had no involvement with Vavel Games. Vavel Games were briefly considered by Forthright to help build the remake, but that deal never happened. Other than that, Vavel Games has no relation to Beast of Prey.

So, just realized i've been scammed by the guy known as Burnz, @GamerDad do you know if this is actually Vavel games who made this or is that a rumor?

Perhaps they are waiting for ARK to lose it's glow to below average!? so that BOP can shine more. Just guess.

My confidence is going down slowly. I haven't seen any news or new thing in quite sometime even mentioning they are working on it still.

@big I gave up, personally. I just check here once every 4-6 months to make sure there's still no news.
Best I can guess, the new studio classifies this as a very low-priority project. There's absolutely zero rush to get this out to us, and no real repercussions if they fail to do so as they don't publicly have their studio tied to the title.
If it ever drops, whatever. I'm personally betting the ice caps will be melted before this game sees a re-release.

almost 3 years and not a single real news, always the same kind of message once a year " we are working on it but are not allowed to tell anything"...

nothing here, nothing on discord, nothing on the game forums, etc...

is there even any proof at all that they are really working on the game? because since 2016 it's just empty words.

Gizzmicbob what happend to the original game? Prior developers where scammers and removed the game after many spent money on it like me. That's illegal!

And I don't mean to come off as rude, that's just how it is. Even if the game goes by the same name, there are new devs that haven't seen a cent of your money. Would you rather the game just be left as an unfinished EA game or new devs eventually give you a good game?

Don't act like you paid for this game, you paid for the abandoned one.
Think of this as a new game that continued the idea of BOP. They aren't required to meet a deadline. They just wanna make a good game.

We don't need another buggy launch in a gaming industry absolutely flooded with them.
I have to keep saying it, and I apologize for that, but jeeze we're not going to have to pay for the game a 2nd time. We literally have nothing to lose, and still people complain.
I appreciate the respect you've shown those of us that purchased the original game. I can tell it's not about making a quick buck for you guys, and that's something I REALLY respect. Idk what dev team is making this game yet, but I'll be watching for future and past games by this team. :)

@wuckfit You are not demanding at all. It has taken far longer than we hoped for. The next big announcement will have more details, especially around what will make the game different, and trust me, most people I think are going to really enjoy it.

@yama No, it will not be VR only. You will absolutely be able to play it normal!

I do think some screenshots or anything to let us know what to expect would be beneficial. I myself have quit checking this group as often as I used to, no longer expecting any progress or updates. There's little-to-no hype, and I can't really get my gaming friends onboard since I have nothing to entice them with. No idea what the gameplay will be like, no idea what will seperate it from Ark or even BoP before the transfer. Anything to let us know what will make this game worth hyping to our friends would probably be beneficial for both your sales on release and less impatience from the community since we'll know something is coming out of this. Right now all we have is the promise of a fully furnished game when it releases, but no idea what those furnishings are.

When I click join private or official server, the orange selector icon appears in the middle of the screen to the right, but no actual text appears. I've left it for 30 minutes or so and to no avail. I thought maybe I could find the IP or an official server and join through that (As the join IP button brings up a UI and it works) but I can't find any ;-;

Any help would be appreciated. I love the game, and hope to play it with other soon!

I can pretty confidently cay it will be more like the original Beasts of Prey than an Ark clone. Dinosaurs are supposed to be ferocious, Ark turned them into gathering tools.

I'm just concerned that it will be remade as basically a clone of ARK as it is the most popular Dino game atm.
