Just altered model of the first guitar I made abit as i had some improvements in mind for a v2. That's it though, this will be the last TF2 guitar I make I think. Don't think its appearing in the most recent atm so not sure how its gonna do:

Yeah i know, just did it for fun really, but who knows. Valve are certainly overdue for a weapon update.

@Linkunarre. Have you considered using a normal map? You could have your paint in the alpha of your diffuse and your shine in the alpha of your normal map. Normal maps are also really good at emphasising creases in the model so might be useful for your hat.

I only recently learned about normal mapping and it might work really well for your model:

Right i'm so confused about this now. This is what happened so far:

1. I managed to finally load it into the model viewer with texture and shine. I couldnt load it in the test map with texture
2. after changing nothing it loads into the the model viewer without shine but the texture and not in game.
3. Now it decides to load in game also without shine. Again I have done nothing and tried the same thing each time. i'm just trying to get the shine now but it will probably mess up something haha

I have put nothing into my custom folder. Any idea what I am meant to submit to the workshop for weapons. Is it a vpk?

Hey guys. I have just manged to compile my weapon model in guistudiomdl (an abolute nightmare but its sorted now). It works perfectly in the model viewer. The model shows up textured. However when i try it in the itemtest map, the texture didn't appear.

@Pinch did you have this problem? how did you resolve it?
