Smoke Particles
Hi,

I was wondering, if you want to incorporate a smoke animation onto a hat, do you use the blender smoke modifier for that to create smoke particles? Do you have to animate it? Should you ever even mess with particles at all? Any comment would be deeply appreciated and put into good use, so please share your wisdom :) Thank You and Have a nice day :D

Using particles is pretty easy in the source engine (there is nothing you do on the Blender side):

You'll have to click the "edit QC" button on the compiler window to enter in this information.

Hi,

I was wondering if you want to include animation on a misc. or hat would you animate it in blender? (This is for TF2) Different from parrticles.
Thank You to anyone that replies.

It involves animating a sequence in blender and then exporting that sequence as a .smd. Then you'd append a few lines to the QC to make sure the idle animation isn't just a static smd. I've never actually done this; you should try contacting a workshop contributor who has like Heinous and ask them for tips.
