How to make models simpler? (Sorry, there is no Gmod section ;-;)
So I was making a hat[filesmelt.com] for Garry's Mod and was just about to test it out in-game when I got this funny error while compiling on GUIStudioMDL 2.2:

ERROR: short conversion out of range 33792 ERROR: Aborted Processing on 'phaze\bbhat.mdl'

Apparently models for source games aren't suppose to have more than 32767 vertices,
so how to turn my model 'simpler' again? Without redoing the entire hat..

If I recall correctly, the soldier model is only 9,000 tris. Just to put things into perspective.

There is no automatic way of redoing a hat of that size. You can do things like removing edgeloops (alt+right click to select loop > delete > edge loop), but I would just remake the hat.
Oh, I already got help and forgot to edit the thread

I just added a modifier 'Decimate' and went to Un-Subdivide.
It works now.
