More or less. Just follow the instructions. And bear in mind that 3d modeling isn't something you just pick up in a day. It can take months of practice to get good.

okay so here is my question now. Do you know of where I can learn how to make a curved knife bladelike that of a karambit. Also, in your new tutorial, you do not have guistudiomdl. Is that program still needed?

Weapons aren't supported by the new importer, so if you want to make it for the workshop, you won't be able to. If you just want to make a mod, you'll need guistudiomdl. As for making curved swords, I can't really tell you. You just have to experiment and watch other videos on how to manipulate 3D mesh.

well is it possible to create a new animation if i make a knife. I will wait until valve makes weapons available so I'm just making the knife in advance

You'd be wasting your time. They haven't made any indication that the importer will allow for weapons. You should just focus on cosmetic items like hats and misc items.
