smd tools for blender 6.29 noob question

im having issue putting the smd tools in blender 6.29. When i tried doing it in the user preferences the files doesnt show up and when i tried to do it manually by pasting the python files in the add on files of blender 6.29, it says unexpected error. can someone help me? :(

Make sure the addon is compatible with version 6.29. And secondly, make sure you don't unzip the addon. You should downgrade blender if the SMD tools script hasn't been updated yet. The guy who writes that script can only work so fast.

umm i tried with 6.28 and i manage to add the smd tools and check the addon "import-export blender tools" but i still cant import the smd files of the dota2 model. Am i doing something wrong? sory for noob question
