Assigning my mask to the head bone, but for some reason
So I was trying to follow helljumper's "new" tf2 modeling tut (beta import) and instead of making a hat I decided I'd make a mask. I am currently at the point where I need to assign the mask to the bip headbone (or maybe some other bone??) but when I do exactly what he did in the video, for some reason the mask relocates to somewhere behind the rig, on the "floor"

Please help me as quick as you can.

It sounds like your rig was transformed in some way. I would delete any existing bones and re-import a fresh character model (using Y-up axis). Reassign the mask to the rig and export.

What do you mean by "using y-up axis"? is that any different from regular importing and if so how?

I just realized the problem, when I imported the rig, it was for some reason lying down, so I changed it using the rotation tool and that's why the mask wants to go back there... Thx anyway man. Btw you still haven't done that video on making good display pics in source filmmaker.

When you import SMD files there is an option near the bottom left corner to import using a specific up axis.[dl.dropboxusercontent.com]

The itemtest map is known to be bugged try it in the hlmv.
