how can i get rid of it if this is automatic? deleting the associated vertex groups maybe? i'm assigning it to only one bone, ValveBiped.forward
from what i could gather i had to use the subtract function in order to remove the weight, so i applied that all over the model, but it still looks the same.
perhaps i've done this wrong? regardless, thanks for the help
* import SMD for another model
* position new model
* change name values
* remove all bone associations
* add bone association with ValveBiped.Bip01_Head1 (or ValveBiped.forward)
* remove weight from model through weight paint subtract
* select all components of model
* ctrl+j
* export SMD, compile
