How to mass export animations in latest update?
use to be able to select action on Source Engine Exportables and input * on Action Filter

now it just exports 1 legacy slot when i have a dozen individual animations under the Dope sheet/F-Curves

You need to convert your separate actions to slots on one single action assigned to your armature. Then you will get the same behaviour as before.

I'm not actually sure how to do that, but there must be a way...right?

been trying all day still no dice, its just exports the ones on the legacy slot not the actions slot. would love if you guys could add in an option to export from either or

I'm telling you to use Blender to edit your scene. Actions are no longer exported, just slots.

Luckily for you I have found how to do it. First you will need to make multiple copies of your armature and assign one action to each. Then you make the "real" armature the active object and execute the "Merge Animation" operator in the Dope Sheet / Action Editor:

Afterwards the active armature will have one action slot for each other selected armature, and you can delete the armature copies.

Thank you, but the problem with this method is that I have hundreds of these old animations I want to export. initially, the process was almost done in an instant and automated way. now I have to manually bind and rename each one individually.

I suggest sticking to Blender 4.3 for now.

As of 3.4.1, the Action filter is back for Blender 4.4+
