put a rigged model into S2FM, but the bones are not working right...
Like, parts of the mesh are not being controlled even though it's totally fine in blender.
Exported as a dmx.

Nope, I don't, except if I forget to correctly link the armature and mesh. I only use Source 1 FilmMaker.

As the error report says:

Warning: 5689 verts on "Body.001" have over 4 weight links. Source does not support this!
Warning: 1 verts on "Head.001" have over 4 weight links. Source does not support this!

You'll need to reduce the number of weight links. Youcan use the "Weight Link Cull Threshold" value to do this automatically, or fix it up manually for better results.

bip_pelvis and bip_spine_1 both affect every vertex on the body, so they would be a good place to start.

Also, FBX works fine (dont wana use fbx tho).
Did culling make it work for you? I will try this soon.

Not unless the "weight link cull threshold" is above 0.

Interesting to hear that FBX doesn't have the same limitation.

I didn't test the mesh but I would be surprised if there were a second issue lurking behind the weight link limit.
