Importing SFM animation into Blender
Hi, I have a Collada model, which I originaly exported from DAZ into Blender. Using Blendertools, I exported this model into SFM, where I animated it.

Now I want to import the animation back into Blender. The way I do it, is that I export the animation in SFM, then in Blender, with the model selected, I use import -> Source Engine. This correctly imports the animation to the model, but it is never 100% correct.

It is extremely close, but some joint rotations are just ignored/wrong. For example I have a hand locked in place in SFM, but in Blender it moves slightly.

The Tools don't support the extended feature set of SFM animations. Sorry.

Hi, thanks for the answer. What do you mean by the "extended feature set" ? I am using the rig and transform locks, however before I export the animation, I remove all of this (I have to, actually), so I would assume, what I am exporting are just the joint rotations and translation, or is it not?

There are lots of extra things going on. I'm not sure what's happening in your case, but I've never heard of it when dealing with Studiomdl animations.

Do you think it would help if I provided some example files?
