"DMX format "Model 22" requires DMX encoding "Binary 3" or later"
I'm getting this error while trying to export an edited Alien Swarm marine model. I found the option to change the binary options from "Binary 2" to the others. And while switching to a higher binary allows me to export it, Crowbar 0.28 won't compile the model because it can't load the file

Effectively ruining my modeling adventure in one fell swoop. Any ideas? Because I'm stumped.

Above the DMX version selection options, there's a path option labelled "Engine Path".

If you set it to the path of the "bin" folder that contains the StudioMDL.exe that you're/Crowbar's using to compile the model, the Blender Source Tools should auto-detect and use the DMX version best suited for the StudioMDL.exe in question.

(If you set the path correctly, you should no longer be able to manually choose a DMX version.)

To be more specific, the model 22 format is used by Source 2.

Can you upload the DMX file that you imported? The importer will set the model format to 22 if it detects Source 2 features, and I assume that you didn't do it yourself. So there might be something strange about that model.
