Were worrking on getting a dedicated TF2 server up but because of the new SteamPipe system its taking a bit of time to get it working properly. They completely changed how dedicated servers work wiht SteamPipe so Im having to learn it all over again. We will try to have it up soon. This server will also be a dedicated host to RCP_Arena so once its up anyone interested in playing can always find it on our server.

rcp_Arena_rc3 release

The latest version of rcp_Arena is finally done and packed. This version has several updates done to it over the RC1 release. Ive included an update list for the major/important changes that have been made since RC1/RC2*. This will be the final major update batch for the map, however I do have some smaller planned updates for the map. I will also do bug fixes or gameplay/balancing updates if needed before the map is moved out of RC status.

Im looking for people who are willing to not only look at the map but do real gameplay testing. If you are interested in doing so then please download. Im also looking for some servers to host the map, if your a server Owner/Admin or know someone who is I would appreciate any help in getting the map some playtime on community servers. If you pick up the map for your server or you see a server that has it please let me know, id love to have a chance to play it in a real match.

*NOTE: RC2 was never released publicly I only mentioned it because it was the last "complete" version i worked on before this last batch of updates.

First im releasing the first public version of my TF2 rcp_arena map. If the prefix rcp seems unusual its because its a custom variation i created of the standard 5 cp tf2 gametype. It officially stands for reverse control point, both teams start out trying to capture the other teams outer most control point(outside of the ground floor) then move inward to the second points(top floor for blue, basement for red respectively) once a team captures these the middle neutral point opens up in the "arena" on the ground floor. This point has a longer capture time than a normal final point due to the even proximity to both teams main spawns.

The maps background is that its an abandoned prison/mining site turned storage facility on the top of a mountain. The building was being sold and because of the symetrical design the owners desided to sell half to one buyer and half to another. The teams each bought half of the building before realising who the other buyer was(most likely setup by mannco and the announcer) and before long the battles began.

My second map release is a l4d map called Witch Ritual Dance. This map came about from me attempting to reliably recreate a glitch I found in a l4d training map on how to kill witches. The glitch involves spawning multiple withes in the same place with only a fraction of a second between them. The original glitch came about when we accidentally blew up a gas can by the trigger button that spawns the witch and the fire activated it about 30-40 times before burning out, so for fun we tossed a gas can at the pile of witches just to see what would happen. This map stabilizes the "glitch" aswell as making it infinitly repeatable. Unlike the original map were spawning to many witches accidentaly and trying to do this crashes the game only a set number of witches are spawned at one time in this map. Ill stop explaining now and let you see the action for yourself.

This is a L4d1 map and isnt guaranteed or tested for compatability with L4d2.
