Hi!
I joined this, because it can't be that D. Smart treats his customers and the Steam Community like this and NOTHING happens!
The german magazin Gamestar showed that he has still a lot to do to make his "game" better, but instead of doing that he says they are trolls an give them a bann!
He seems to be more interested investing his time to troll against the developers of Star Citizen, instead working on his "games". That does not look like to me that he is very interested in developing games.
So where is the point that Steam let him sell his "games" here anyways?

Wow jack and wally i read that review fight/argument and it is very suspicious to see the lvl 0 steam user's, it is funny cause if you look at the real devs of alganon they have more time played in Ds games then in alganon together.

He should rename himself Derek(clearly)Notsosmart. I mean he's been developing those games that are not even on shovelware games for close to 30 years now i think and he hasn't learned ♥♥♥♥ in those years. I can only hope that steam refund will be the downfall for him should he consider making a new game(His other game he's atm working on called Line of Defense MMO is already dead on arrival)

As for the other companies banning people? Those are mostly bans for people who cheated/botted or glitched something and not for saying their opinion on their forum.

This dude, this frickin' dude...If he spent as much time working on his game as he did trying to look clever to the people who don't like it, the game would probably be a good one. Yeah, companies like EA ban people every day, but people don't flip out over it because the games they have are usually uh, GOOD. This beautiful Indie Dev's game is little more than a WoW clone, something many people have stated. If Derek really is so insecure about his game that he needs to actively look for people who don't like it and ban them, then I think he shouldn't really continue to be a dev. Because everyone takes critics, but they don't ban them for their opinion, they often simply use that to improve the game. Even if you're polite about Alganon, you'll be banned. The group continues to grow every day, and one butthurt indie dev simply cannot control 90+ people. Stay strong, my friends.

Well what I think is very funny is there is another group here that is "kinda" doing the same thing as we have here in this group, and yet dsmart has not even touched their group with his almighty ego and cynical conduct. I will use that word in a noun.

Anyone have the before and after comments regarding us? I swear when he first saw our group he was super gung ho ready to have us all banned then after he found out we can't be removed since we're not doing anything he changes it to, oh yeah they can have their group it doesn't bother me.

At the same time, the guy blatantly lies about his game and the reasons for banning people so he really has no place talking about yellow journalism. Furthermore I would avoid that term when describing certain news sources just to avoid that possible connection. But then again Derek Smart isn't the brightest man. Wether intended or not he used terrible word choice, I was under the impression yellow journalism was a thing back in the early 1900s and wouldn't be used to describe anything nowadays.

The term "Yellow Journalism" isn't a racial term against Asians, it means poorly researched, embellished journalism, based around the hype and not the factual story, if any. I didn't see anything really racial in the first image either.

moving/deleting threads, censoring everything etc. Going on twitter and facebook and lying about why we were banned and playing it off like we're the bad guys. I just wanted to talk with players and I got banned. Need to send a clearer message to people who don't know what's going on.

Can we also get a rewording on the landing page here? The petition is gone and could use some info about him banning people for talking about subpar gameplay, fake ftp model, wow clone, non rule breaking discussions, then lying about why he banned everyone saying he only bans anti social trolls who break steam's rules.
