New Server! DayZ Epoch on Taviana! Modded Private Hive

For any who are interested, I've started a new server on DayZ Mod. I created this server to fill a niche which desperately needed to be filled.... An Epoch Taviana server on the East Coast, which is modded yet is not made "too easy" with free or underpriced items and whatnot.

All of the information about the server is accessible via our subreddit, reddit.com/r/SalvationCityEpoch so I'm going to keep this message short and end it with the IP Address. Hope to see you in game!

Mods won't run no matter what I do due to what seems to be a server end issue. I put in a ticket with HFB last night and should be receiving a response very soon.

The reason the server is down now is so that in the case that they wipe it while working on it no one will loose any progress that they've made.

I'll be taking my laptop around with me today and checking periodically to see if they've responded/mods are functional. I'll keep you posted.

After giving it a few days post update to see how things pan out, it seems to be in the best interest of the server to do a complete wipe.

Everyone has voiced their opinion and most are on board, but the real deciding factor was bugs. Since the update, we've had a problem where the server is thinking a character is logged in who is not, and stops the player from being able to join. This is fixed by a simple server restart, but happens a few times a day. We can't have random players unable to connect, so we have to do what's best.

To make it up to the regulars/veterans(and even the new players) we will be building the teams arena again within a few hours of the server being wiped and will be giving out housing supplies (mostly wooden planks) to winning teams. This will allow players to obtain materials by means other than farming, without being unfair or abusive of admin privledges.

This will be happening very late tonight or early tomorrow. Thank you for your cooperation and please feel free to voice your opinion below. Thanks all.
