Okay guys, the lag issues have been resolved! We moved the server onto a new machine last night, and players reported being lag-free again. I also did some major work with the configuation files with dino spawns to optimize certain dino spawns. Turret damage has been increased to help with base defense.

I give up i have unsubed and whiped all folders and re subed and still get mod map download fail. i have a 2TB HD so room is not the issiue

@Avendale [PART 2] If its failing to download despite having the storage room (its a 3.1 GB download roughly), then I'd treat it like a corrupted mod you need to uninstall and reinstall fresh. I also have instructions for doing this correctly pinned under discussions. It may have only partially downloaded, then somehow got corrupted, which would end all progress until the corrupted file is removed. Once its re-downloaded, be sure to allow the game to finish installing mods before clicking to join server, this isnt needed but helps a lot. You can see the progress by the bottom right side white text. Let me know if these things dont work. Good luck!

@Avendale [PART 1] Have you tried to pre-download the map before clicking to join the server by chance? In the discussions tab above I have a pinned topic which contains the mod collection we have currently. The second mod is the map, Crystal Isles. Try individually subbing to it, and watch your downloads. I'm curious to see maybe if your storage is full up, or if its simply failing to download that.

I can see the server and all is good. I click join and it starts and then i get the message unable to download mod map and it stops

@Avendale Hi there! If you are still having issues, Ill help the best I can or get someone who knows more than I. Though I need a little more information. What exactly do you mean by the map not loading? Is it a problem preventing login, or something ingame not loading? Whats it doing?

@Branden I know my comment comes late, but server side everything looks fine, and I've been checking on things throughout the night/early morning, as I'd been awake for reasons.

No updates, players have been logging in consistently, etc. If you are still having issues, feel free to post under the discussion for technical/server issues and I'll see what I can do to help you.

@ Natisah91 I'm sorry I didn't reply on here sooner, but I performed the needed update earlier this morning, about 4-5 hours ago. Everything is still up to date as of the time of this message. Everything is good to go!

Anyone else having trouble getting on? It's telling me to make sure the server is running the correct version of mods. I've reinstalled all the mods and it's saying the same thing.

@erraya I'm interested. I play quite a few games including Wow but always appreciate the social aspect of playing with a similarly minded group of friends. I'll try posting a comment to that discussion later today. Not allowing me to post at the moment.

Around what time wil server be up?

Since I've posted everywhere, including within the "message of the day" on the server regarding the upcoming wipe, I've seen essentially no one logging in on the server the last couple days. This is to be expected as most don't wish to play a few days before things are wiped.

Thus, I am actually going to be bringing down the server sometime later tonight to wipe it, on June 2. This is for testing purposes, the server is still scheduled to be put up on June 3 for the new map and player use. I'm going to be adding only a couple mods to it, and likely passworded until fully set back up tomorrow for everyone. I want to test aspects of the ARK eternal mod. This will be easier to do using the real server rather than a limited ability local private one.

Take a look at the announcement for server events; if interested please leave a note so it helps give me an idea of those wanting to participate. I know several people likely don't come to the steam group extremely often and thus won't be on the "sign ups" per say, but for those that do it does help me out :)

Everything is freshly updated; sorry for the delay folks from the two mods late last night that updated. I am unsure if they were blocking server entry or not.

No, we dont have a server password. I had one up while i was placing trivia based vaults around the islands. I've restarted server without password again. There are 10 vaults hidden currently with more on the way. Theres also a mega vault puzzle room thats currently incomplete but will be finished/unlocked as soon as we can!

I leave my taming cage gates unlocked so anyone can use that taming trap and get out of my base if they spawn in it.

@ Araticus I am sorry to hear that you were having these issues. While things such as clipping/being stuck inside foundations is a game issue, the one thing server side im able to see here is bases on top of spawn points. This is a new map for many of us, thus difficult to tell where exactly a player will spawn to avoid it, but for those on a point certain things that can be done to help such as either moving or making a ramp up the side of a wall for escape.

What would be helpful to me here is mentioning the name of a person/tribe of bases on these points so that preventative measures can be taken. I have not seen any complaints of your issue on this map yet in our first few weeks on it. Either people arnt reporting it, you're very unlucky, or people have getting around it somehow. Whatever the case, as the server owner I wish to make the best possible server I can, but I need this kind of info to address it. I will ask my players about it.

My first few hours on this server have been Dissapointing. First let me say that the people playing here are AWESOME! they have helped me several times. However, 40% of my time playing was spent inside of other people's basses just after respawning. One Individual had a good laugh with #MakeAbed. that would have been easy to do had It not been for me getting stuck inside of places i can't get out of.

I died with no bed or sleeping bag (not a big deal) upon respawning i was placed inside of a foundation, clipping inside of an S+ ind. Forge. I cant move, my food wouldn't deplete, and my stamina was at 0. After relogging to my supprise i was still in the foundation! So i had to remake my character. This happened at 3 other locations.

While i did enjoy the short time of freedom i had, It makes it hard for me to continue playing here. I may return one day but for now, i'll seek a new home.

hello ive being trying to join the server for about 2 days now and it says same thing every time, that i should check if the server has all mods up to date. but i cant reach any admins

Sorry for the 1-2 hour downtime just now. Was updating the server and making a couple config file tweaks when work got in the way and i had to abandon ship for a moment, leaving the server down in the process. Everything is updated and back up! Thanks for your patience.

Well, I have had a few admins going. Pupa I think is taking a bit of a break from ARK, Tigercat is currently on vacation/on a trip (hes usually on a lot), and Neokon will likely not be around anymore for personal reasons.

I have begun to consider a new admin to assist, though there is a lot more to the selection process than simply who's online the most, thus I will make my own conclusions on who would be the admin I'm looking for. But yes, I do think I need to be looking at another one. I certainly want whats best for the server.

I agree with Arianna I think someone like Null who is on would be a great admin.

I am wondering if it would be possible to make someone an admin who plays on a daily basis. It doesn't seem like and of the admins are on very much. I understand that you still have a real life but it would be nice to have the help when needed. Null has two dinos stuck in the map right now and no one is around. He's a very active player who is on all the time. Someone like him would be perfect.

@Arianna I've checked again and everything is up to date on the server. Though I think you should be alright now, since I also looked at online players and you are currently on :)

@Smoke Hey there! I am sorry to hear you are having issues. Try adding the server to your favorites instead to find it in-game. You can do so by following these steps:

Click on "View" in the steam menu bar (right-clicking the ARK game under your steam library). Click "Servers". In the new window, click on the "Favorites" tab. In the bottom right corner of the server window, click "Add a Server". Paste 160.202.166.16:22175 into the box and click "Add this address to favorites".

Launch ARK and the server will show up in the browser under your favorites.

I need help. I am still getting a mod mismatch. I have verified my files. Completely uninstalled the mod and reinstalled.

Added in Godzillark mod in for now; just another toy to play with and such :)

I customized the damage/resistance settings on both wild and tamed godzillas to make them more in line with a boss dino from EC mod. They will not spawn naturally, they must be summoned.
