Won't let me join Server, says failed to load mod map. This usually happens when a mod is accidentally uninstalled without restarting the server. Please fix. Ive been trying to connect to the server for 2 days now

ive made a discord chat server for the server if anyone is intrested https://discord.gg/0pU96EjuwKuuFTQA discord is a free app or you can also log in from a webpage service like teamspeak but is low mem usage and a nice UI with unlimited amount of people allowed

I have 4 computers that connect to ArkElite from my location. Because of the mods, it takes a little patience on one (high end) and quite a bit of patience on the other three (more modest builds) due to the long login times. It has to be mod related because it isn't an issue on other servers but it isn't like we're seeing people on ArkElite ask for less mods.

Thankfully, the random crashes that were occurring far too often seem to be a thing of the past but the long login times seem to be telling us that if it's not one thing, it's another.

Who else has problems to join the Elite server? Please ensure the Server you are attempting to join is running the latest version of all Mod content.. I'm running v.235.1, deleted all mods installed and downloaded and reinstalled the mods that are needed for the server still not able to join because of mismatch mod

Yeah.. I was out in the field on a new giganato so I'm hoping to get back in to get that guy home. As for stability isues, it comes with the teritory of running a heavily modded server on an alpha client. I'm having more than enough fun to remain patient, though. Nice player base and helpful admins aren't easy to find. Those assets make up for the stability issues.

Hey Angslan

It's quite possible that a mod is causing the issue, I have had the issue before as well. Do these steps for me and hopefully it'll be fixed.

1. Unsubscribe from ALL your Ark mods

2. Download all the mods from this collection I put together. These are all the mods the server runs: http://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=573045857

3. Let them install into Ark and then try reconnecting

thanks everyone for using the forum, feel free to add me to your friends list and message me if the server is down. I don't sit at my computer all day, but for the most part it can be back up and running in a short period of time.

I had the same timeout issue with my server once.
I found that setting a value for KickIdlePlayersPeriod fixed the issue.

The name and description of this setting seems to say it applies to players who are idle in game, but I have found that it also seems to apply to connecting to the server and during character creation. So servers with a lot of mods will specifically be affected.

If your GameUserSettings.ini add a setting for KickIdlePlayersPeriod if you don't already have one and set it to some high value like 99999.
