Well, voting's closed and Valve is in the lead! They've just to count Twitter votes and hopefully cull off any duplicate IP voting (Goodbye most of Zynga's voting block), and we should be in the clear!

To be honest, everything Zynga has done so far is just insulting. They've beaten Rockstar, who more or less codified the 'open sandbox of mayhem' style game, Infinity Ward, who of course made Modern Warfare which so far seems to be more popular than God, and Square Enix who... I don't know much about. Anyway, for them, an applications 'company' who uses blatantly use illegal tactics and seem to get copyright claims thrown at them every other Wednesday to beat VALVE of all people (Behind Steam, still have the most accurate, optimised physics system in existence, are commonly praised for their originality and storylines, to say nothing of Portal, Left4Dead and TF2) would be like walking up to an Olympic runner and giving him a walking aid.

Zynga are so blatantly out of their league that their constant attempts at spamming everyone into submission just comes across as childish and, in all likelihood, is going to generate them more bad press than good - especially if they manage to win...

Zynga are simply getting desperate now. They've made it this far but they're so desperate to win that they're introducing new tactics that even their fans hate, so they're ending up with more people voting against them through their own banners and stuff. If this keeps up, we'll have no problem :D
