This is just an opinion thing but...
I prefer the gameplay of classic doom to modern doom. In Doom and Doom II, you can find a group of mancubi or revenants and go to town with the BFG or plasma. If you see a group of revenants or mancubi in Doom Eternal, you are practically forced to fly all over the place and kill each one individually. Additionally, there is barely any ammo in Doom Eternal. "we put that in so gameplay isn't dominated by one weapon." Yeah, well i guess screw gameplay to add "modern features"
