@misanthropist Hell yeah dude, Inferi's new album is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sick as ♥♥♥♥. And for yellingcrazyman, that stuff was like post-hardcore, it has little girly singing in it and the music was pretty lacking, typical for your run of the mill hot topic band.

And yeah, meshuggah has some good music in their older songs, but I just can't get past those vocals. I'd hate to make a post without linking a band, so...

You guys need to give these kids a listen, Dawn of Dementia. They're all roughly 20 or so, but sound they've been playing tech death for about that long. The bass sticks out so well and is played about as smoothly as possible.

@Baphomet, Beyond Creation kills dude! Check out their bassists instrumental side project, Teramobil.
@Syranic, Dude, Meshuggah is poop and not technical, nor death metal. Boring music with Pantera vocals is nothing to brag about in a technical death metal group.

Seems like folks on here know their stuff. Do yourself a big favor and make sure to check out Gorod. Also, Decrepit Birth are great if you need Death on steroids. There's a killer new band out of Santa Cruz, CA called Continuum if you're into a more brutal sound.
