Much worse, it basically cancels out the rights for the people living in America, not only that, the American goverments have the power to extradite people from other countries to America and either make them: a) Go to prison for years without being charged with anything. b) Work in a slave labour camp, (this happens especially if you are black or hispanic).

Before it can become law it has to first get signed by the european parliament and then by the national parliaments. Remember that the european parlament has the pirate party in it and that it has already voted NO to a previous version of the ACTA bill and you'll see that there is a big chance that it will fail this time around as well. As for the national parliaments, only the polish one has indicated that they are willing to sign it. So it has a number of places were it can fail still. I doubt the German parlament will sign it for fear of the pirate party gaining momentum. They might be bought but they will not risk their jobs.

ACTA`s been planned for 6 or more years now. I guess they had it all laid out to force it down people`s throats.
But still; if people just let it happen, it will.

acta has already been passed, now sure if opposing it will do anything now... its almost as if SOPA and PIPA were decoys so that they could pass ACTA while no one was looking.

First I heard of this. Sadly, I'm not surprised at all. I just cant crawl inside the head of a person that looks at the internet as a way to control us all, instead of freeing us all.

Acta is a bill made by 39 different countries. Including a few in europe, U.S.A, Japan, Ect.
