Website down?

Am I the only one being unable to load astats website?

truesteamachievements.com -- no issues at all. They added rankings for achievements, and they are similar to Astats. So Legendary Achievements on Astats == Very High Rated Achievements on TSA.

This site is better than AStats imo. Better UI. More infos, leading to catching cheaters. Fast mod response when dealing with issues, etc.

No. UI is ugly, unreadable tables, bloated with meaningless data. Guides are almost non-existent. Many cheaters, banned from Astats, have active account on Steam Hunters.

Yeah data can be intimidating for those who are not good with numbers. And people actually use the guides on AStats? Huh, you learn sth new everyday.

Looks like something atleast ... I bookmarked this site. UI seems quite modern though! I really liked astats guides and used them frequently. Maybe I just have to get used to sth. new.

Out of all the alternatives Steamhunters looks the best, but I really want Astats to come back for the Guides and the Playlist. I loved that I can organize what to play next on one simple list.

It's crazy that Astats was hosted on some private hardware in the basement.... it's 2021... VPSs are cheap AF and people would pay small fee on Patronite to cover monthly expenses...

It's looking bad. And the owner is silent. I still have hope.,... but.....

yeah...

From what I heard the last couple months, the owner is quite busy and has less time to work on astats. Thats probably the reason nothing got migrated yet. And still: there are some good reasons to run a server by yourself. Of course there are some downsides too. But thats for the admin to descide.

Lets just keep fingers crossed that there is a working backup somewhere ...

I'm still working on it and it is rather hard to fix, coming Monday I hope to have something basic up and running again. Certainly it would have been nice to have it hosted somewhere, but with a c# crawler and a very large database I certainly haven't found anything that would run it affordable
