Empire Total War, does it matter from which unit I promote a general? Will a general I promote from an artillery unit have different traits than one I promote from a cavalry unit?
1. I haven't found one, sorry.
2. Personally, I like to keep a balance on my provinces and have everything in order and stable. Aka, every province supports itself and losing one isn't going to lose me military production or food.
1. politics: Is there a way I can easily check which house a general belongs to (easier then check his name, open faction tab, switch to politics, search his name in the list)?
2. economics: Do you prefer centralized or decentralized wealth production (Few industry heavy provinces with lots of pure farming provinces vs. mostly selfsufficient provinces) ?
Empire: 1701-1799 (U.S. campaign is a bit later)
Shogun2: 1545-1575 (short), -1600(long)
RoS: 1175- 1199(short) -1219(long)
FotS: 1864- 1870(short) -1876(long)
Rome2: start 272 B.C. with no limit I think
For the first two I relied on internet sources, since I don't have them currently installed.
PS: What the heck do you want with those dates?
Anyone still missed the news:
CA partly fixed the AI issues in Rome 2 plus Medival 2 and Rome 1 now operate free of Gamespy and you may register your retail (non-Steam Keys) at Steam too. So no need to buy the games again.
The troops desert if you don't come closer to your target, is there a distance limit to it? If I stand next to the target and do nothing will they still desert? And if yes, does this also affect siege? And by the way, does the AI also has desertion? Thanks in advance.

Thank you!
