It is sad that IOARK has to come down. It was a really long run for what Pebbs and i started as a small server. Thanks to all who took it over after us and kept it alive for so many months.

It's sad to see you leave but I totally understand. Being at college right now I basically have no time for gaming either so I really do understand where you're coming from with this and asking you to keep the server going for us is not fair at all. You have to prioritise your family right now. We've had a good run but all good things must come to an end. Hopefully we'll Ark again one day again.

It's sad to hear that we might see the servers die. Sadly i don't play that often here too and at the moment i can't really afford paying for it if no one really plays. Nor do i have any idea how it works anyway and i have to much going on in my real life to dedicate time to this kind of stuff. So sadly i won't be able to pitch in. Maybe in the new year when i hope most stuff has calmed down but who knows.

I hope to not see the servers die (especially with Extinction on the horizon) but i totally would understand it. :)

I get it completely, even if it's only time preventing you from logging in then it's enough to move on in my opinion but with a little one on the way that's a lot less time and more costs. Best of luck with the new family.

We're having a rl baby! (All that baby-raising will hopefully pay off).. This also means I can no longer justify paying for servers I'm not playing on. What this means, is that I will make one last donation so that the servers are payed for until 13/11/2018. After that they will be automatically cancelled unless someone wants to contribute / pay the monthly subscription fee of €15,50 per server. If you all want to continue the IoA server(s) we will also need a new owner + admin to keep things running.
Unfortunately work and other stuff has caught up on me leaving me with far less time to manage IoA than I imagined when I took this role on me. I hope you all understand and hope we can manage to work something out together to prevent IoA from ending here, especially with the new DLC coming out in a few weeks!!!

it's after playing for all this time that these games all feel like that-same-ol-thing-again .. CE is going to have tames soon, but that too would be fun for a few days before it starts feeling old again as well.. time for something new and different

That's my issue with it too. Messing around in single player just building because I don't seem interested in playing other games right now.

Wont miss it. Which is actually sad - game could have been cool if it wasn't so empty.

I cancelled our third server running CE. It will be deleted on September 1st.

Patch notes were an interesting read, named thralls no longer looking like their mother and father were brother and sister.

Calling this one solved then. Will change back to 0,1. I think the changes are best noticed on armor.

further testing proved out.. no matter what sort of pick you use (stone, iron, steel etc) the damage is always the same (doesn't matter if you hit a tree or rock or iron).. better tools just give more materials in return

It turns out this is either a bug or working as intended. Weapons and armour are effected by dura changes but tools aren't so changing the sliders has no effect at all. It requires a mod that either makes tools use the dura slider or a mod that ups tool dura.

did some better testing and actually.. no.. the durability slider changes the amount of durability damage an item takes... so, lower is better
the fun part is.. no matter what the setting is, the iron pick takes (on average) 5 damage from any resource.. so i guess it's bugged(?)

Yeah it might be one of those opposite sliders, lower is low and higher is high.

not any better... I tested it in SP and cranking it up to 5.0 only made it slightly better.. with the iron pick i'm using i could do 2 resource runs instead of 1,5 .. these tools must be just horrible, as I have actually no problems with weapons and such on the server

I cranked it down from 0,1 to 0,01. Please let me know if it's better. (As far as I noticed upping it makes equipment break sooner)

Durability in Conan is horrible.. can we please crank that up a bit. It's currently at the lowest possible setting.

Are the speed saddles going to make a comeback? The rag map is so big that it's terribly slow flying from one part to the other haha

The Aberration server seems safe to play for now. However, I believe Nemo is still tweaking settings AND we still need to resolve an issue before we can guarantee them working as before. Sorry for the momentarily inconvenience
