Malden 2035 and ARMA III on sale!

NEW Malden 2035 map is out for ARMA III. Tonight we are gonna check it out, running the new co-op mission released along side it, 'combat patrol' now available for all official maps, and the official escape mission also included for it and Tanoa. It's a beautiful map, and everyone is invited since it is all free and all Vanilla.

ARMA III is also on sale, $18.69 for the standard edition, and $30.59 with Apex, so tell anyone who doesn't have it to pick it up!

All DLC are also on sale right now for cheap and very reasonable prices, so if there are any you wanted, get them now because I honestly don't see BI dropping the prices like this again for a while.

Christmas Season in ARMA

Good afternoon members of the 69th SOG, Ops will once again be running over christmas break, but with a few tweaks. Our main areas of operation will be in Ukraine (Chernarus will sub in), Vietnam, and Afghanistan. First up, Kundz (http://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=421620913). Germany operated here during the war in afghanistan for over 10 years. This is a very detailed map, and we've got some new and rich scenarios for it, along with some new ones on the way. We all love takistan, so we aren't saying goodbye, but this is a really nice map so we are going to be checking this out too for a more 'purely' Afghan feel.

Secondly, RHS (http://www.rhsmods.org/). This mod is fantastic. It takes ARMA 3 from a good game to a great game. Tons of content, and it is all generally better than CUP, though we will not be retiring cup because of it's classic ARMA 2 maps. All of the guns look and feel fantastic, and all of the uniforms suit many different combat environments and look very cool. You're all going to groan about the download size, but one you see some of this stuff, I guarentee you won't regret the download. It is coming to the workshop soon aswell, so we will shift to that verson when it comes out, but for now it is a manual download. It can be confusing. If you don't understand, ASK ME. Don't leave it to right before an op either. I'm happy to help and once you get it started it installs itself.

Finally, ShackTac UI (http://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=498740884). This offers some UI improvement, and give you a better idea of where your squadmates are if you cannot directly see them. It is supposed to compensate for the fact that ARMA can only offer so much emersion, and you will never have the same situational awareness you have in real life in a game. This one is optional, but if you want to squad lead, I'm gonna make it mandatory. It's really helpful for keeping track of your guys.

Good evening men of the 69th Canadian,

I have some unfortunate news this evening. I, for some personal reasons, have decided that I no longer can run the 69th Canadian. We had a fantastic run with the KRG, and it was a lot of fun. I am sure all of you will miss it as much as I already do. I may revive the reg. when I have a bit more time on my hands, but as of right now it is too stressful, and I cannot manage it and balance the other aspects of my life.

Levy has made an offer to anyone still interested in playing. If you have the North and South mod (http://www.moddb.com/mods/north-south-first-manassas) you are welcome to merge into the 54th Vl. Add Levy on steam, [SB]BrigGen_Levy, if you would like to continue participating in events every friday, saturday and sunday with him.

I hope you all can understand why I am doing this, and I hope that if I ever find the time to run it again, I will see all your faces in the battle line.

We have a line battle tonight at 8:00pm EST. If you can't make it, let Roger know. Its gonna be a good event so make sure you can come out if you aren't busy. Try to be on by 7:30, because I need to give everyone their tags back.

As mentioned in the last posting, with the TS server re-set, I need to give everyone tags back. Event if you cannot make it to the full event, please find 5 minutes between 7:00 and 8:00 so that I can get that out of the way for you please and thanks.

Teamspeak has been under maintenance, come get Tags back!
