I've never been a skirmisher before, but tonight was the night to be one. Most of us, the young and the new recruits, we're new to this type of warfare. To finally not be in a line and smell the sweat of the man in front of you, was a blessing I wish I could have forever. But alas, there were still negatives in being a skirmisher. We must always be on the move and provide cover with rifles that had the accuracy as a blind man. With no bayonets on the tip of rifle, we we're weak against cavalry. In this battle, we saw the negatives happen right before our very own eyes.
There was this one time in the battle where we would all charge against each other. The battle had gone on for too long and we decided to charge with the other fellow regiments. It was a slaughter for us. We were struck by cavalry from the side and infantry from the front. The only thing I could remember was the splashes of the mud and dirt from my fellow brothers.
Such battles should not be recorded and should rather be just lost in history. This is going to be the first battle I have ever written in a while and I wish it did not go down like this. It was a slaughter for us. Sheep herded into the wolves. The mens morale was terribly low. Perhaps it was the sand in the boots or the heat from the sun, but there is no excuse for the main reason. They were a tough regiment, and the 26e could not best them. I do not understand. -Sir Downs at the battle of Random Desert (Medium)
Where does thou begin? Ah, I woke up from a deep slumber and as I walked out my front door, a messanger boy appeared. The young lad handed me a letter and as I opened the letter it was marked with the stamp of the 26e. I read the letter and a 26e reunion was happening! I smiled and looked at the sun, how joyful I was! The reunion was a momentous moment. Cheer and smiles was all around. Never would I thought one would write in this journal again, and hopefully, more chapters will come. -Sir Downs at Unknown Flying Ships
I am now walking through the rubble of once a great civilization. Dead men is now what surrounds the land. Our brave commander Snow and his men have all perished and I, being the last one that has not been able to go to this last battle, stands upon a pile of ashes. I wish I was there to see the last stand of the 26e, but sadly I was not. I have brought dishonor to France and I will be going on to new land. I am sorry 26e that I couldnt be there but I will continue on the legcay. I will keep my journal here, in this land of dispair, so that people may come across it and enjoy the once great battles that we have once endured. Farewell, and long live France. -Sir Downs at the Battle of Random Desert (Large)
“ It's been a while since I have been to one of these battles. I needed time to think for I will be busy soon. Anyways, I am glad I am coming back to these battles for it gives me something to do and takes my troubles out of my life. Thanks 26e. Now to the battle. We had little attendance. So little, it's the size of our brave commanders- never mind. My shot is off and I feel rusty. One of my comrades got a kill and I am proud of him for no one else could. Such a brave little marksman. But alas, we fight in a desert again forcing the sweat to roll down into my eyes causing me to cry. Such a bloody event. Bagpipes and skirmishers all over the place. One of my comrades final words were its probably the kpr. Those bloody skirms. I'm writing this during battle and I must go and I will finish later.... if I ever do return from this.”

"Gah, my legs are swore. We were given the most intense training before the battle. Jump up, block, kick, and more. Before the battle we were already sweating....(Page was overflowed with music and ripped but continued).....Familiar faces and new ones on the battlefield today. So much sand. Why do we keep fighting in a desert? One by one men fell. Swords clashing against eachother. Men fighting hoping to get a promotion. Psh, like a cadet like you would get one. Todays battle was like any other one. But battles seem to be the same after a while. Why? I do not know why."
-Sir Downs at The Battle of Random Desert (Large)
"Sea sickness all over the place. All of a sudden a ship came out of nowhere. The KPR! We were in a massive ship battle... well a one versus one. The sea reeked of death and vomit, just like your mother. A disgusting smell but you get used to it. Alas, im just a peasant with a journal so I did not have a gun. But I had courage to fight for my country. Men died left and right like flies. We lost but the KPR were nice and sparred our lives."
-Sir Downs at The Battle of Unknown Ocean (Large)
"Its been a while since ive been to once of these here events. A short one, sadly, though I proved my worth. But lets start with the beginning. Confusion was happening. Men team killing eachother for vengence. Why? Once everything was calmed down the battle began. I could see sweat dripping off of the cadets faces. We could hear the gun shots from across the battlefield. The screeches of men and young lads. As we were marching we were ambushed! Highlanders came over the horizon and tried to attack us. Our brave commander told us to fire, so we did. I got a kill. This kill was the first kill I have gotten in a while. My comrades did not get any in that battle. Who would know that a young lad that writes down battles would get the only kill? That, that question is one that haunts my comrades minds."
-Sir Downs at The Battle of Random Desert (Large)
"I was given the greatest news! News better than when a man finds out he is not the father! If i have twenty entries I may get my own book published on a website! My week gets better and better! I am dedicated to get this done. Wish me luck lads!"
-Sir Downs at Barracks 1
"I am ashamed of myself once again. I missed todays practice but I can still go to tomorrows event, though unprepared. Ive gotten better at melee and shooting, im just hoping the others did too. This one will be a short one but this wont happen again."
-Sir Downs at Unknown Location
"A messanger came to me through steam message telling me to get on teamspeak for a rank. Not knowing what I was going into I decided to join. I was sweating and frightened like any other recruit during training. I join the teamspeak with such hesitation. My brave commander tells me to join the map so I join. He tells my comrades that this is a special promotion. I was not sure if I was getting a new rank or a derank. Snow tells me to step forward, and so I obey hoping for the best. He tells me with such pride I am going to be a war correspondant. I am excited! My excellent hand writing could be used for something great! I am not fighter so this suits me well. I am excited and can not wait for the next battle!"
