It's a game ban, there are many possible reasons, and just because you received the ban at that exact moment doesn't necessarily mean that's why, as bans are issued with a delay.

Valve does not release the specifics of what caused a VAC ban. You are making a very commonly seen mistake.

You are associating what you were doing at the moment the ban was applied with what caused it. That's not how VAC works. VAC bans are delayed.

Even though you have a game ban instead, this needed to be clarified. Also, it's even more the case true since your ban is a game ban and not a VAC ban.

First you have a GAME ban, cheating is NOT the only reason they are issued.
Seconds ban are issued on a delay some time weeks or even months. So what you were doing at the time is NOT what caused the ban.

It is a game ban. Again, as others have also repeatedly said, there are OTHER WAYS to get a game ban than cheating.
