VAC
Got a VAC a long time ago, in a period of time I didnt even have a PC, when someone stole my account. Isn't it kinda unfair Steam won't take off the ban, when you return stolen items all the time. And no - the "your account is your responsibility" argument doesnt work here - when you get your items stolen in an unfair trade youre also the one to blame. Why the bias?

The account security is your responsibility argument does apply here.

You compromised your account and then it was used to cheat.

VAC bans are permanent.

Also, stolen items are NOT returned, as per the Steam Item Restoration Policy.

Nice passive aggressive approach, come in swinging "Not it does not work here"
Well, it does. you chose to use your account on external trading sites and they hijacked it.
And guess what? that's 100% your fault.

1 VAC ban on record | Info
1650 day(s) since last ban

"your account is your responsibility" argument does work, because by the end of the day, you were careless with your steam account in one or other way. Also your vacban is permanent

It's quite simple STEAM/Valve doesn't care WHO used your account only the fact that it was used.

You AGREED to those terms when you made the account.

Once again, this is another “my account was banned and I wasn’t playing on it”. It was someone else.

And today is the first time posting about it ever. In the ban is almost 5 years old.

I can't imagine buying an account without either first checking if it's banned, or checking if the ban can be removed or not before buying it. I imagine I'd feel quite stupid if I did so.

When someone who requests an appeal on an old ban and no post history, it is an indication of a purchase account. Irregardless of if it is or not, ban is permanent

Contacted the support when i first found out i was banned - they said no bcuz its irreversible. I was salty, but said "ok, if thats their policy then im fine with it". Didnt really care about CS that much. But recently i stumbled upon a YT short where the comemnts were praising Steams support because they act quick - many said they had their items stolen and steam returned them in a blink of an eye, so that seemed unfair. This thread isnt me complaining about "oh i want to be unbanned" - it just doesnt seem fair that one instance of the player being a dumbass and not protecting himself (losing items either from a trade or getting hacked, as I stated before) is acted upon, but other isnt - when its fairly easy to check location from which the account was logged on from.

Support doesn't return items. Also ever heard of VPN's.

steam irem restoration polilcy - https://psteamhelp.yuanyoumao.com/en/faqs/view/3B6E-B322-2400-8D24

Steam Support does not restore lost items. Items often exchange hands multiple times before a restoration request and this means they cannot be restored without duplicating them or removing them from another innocent user’s inventory. Duplicating items has a negative impact on everyone who trades or uses the Market by lowering the value of items.

First. You cannot verify the location. Second. When you visit scam sites and see what thieves are advertising, then don't be surprised when valuable things are stolen from your inventory. Third. Do not gamble in bookmakers because they are all scammers. In addition, you have a high chance of having skins stolen from your inventory that way. They still haven't forgotten me. In a week, they tried to download my e-mail twice. Conclusion - avoid stupidity, betting, installing spyware and don't fall for phishing. Thieves and scammers never sleep because they live on it.
Indeed people seem to forget that VPNs are a thing
