Incorrect, it's a game ban. Cheats aren't necessary, as there are several possible reasons for it.

If the penalty was issued in a Valve game:
Permanent and cannot be removed.

If the penalty was issued in a non-Valve game:
Contact the support team for the game in question.

there is always a reason for a ban. As per your profile, you have a gameban, irrelevant what it says ingame. So, go to your profile and click on the info button next to your gameban. FYI this is a community only forum
