coming from someone who didn't do the very basic of doing a simple research regarding bans, you could have even did a simple search on community forums, and guess what, you are not the first person who brings such an idea up, which means you would have a seen a few threads regarding your idea, and people keep giving you the same information over and over.

The lack of reading comprehension would be from you, because apparently you didn't know that VAC bans used to be temporary. People kept cheating, so Valve had to make them permanent. Valve gave people second chances and they returned that favor by continuing to cheat.


Valve started working on a "long-term solution" for cheating in 2001. VAC's initial release was with Counter-Strike in 2002. During this initial release, the system only banned players for 24 hours. The duration of the ban was increased over time; players were banned for 1 year and 5 years, until VAC2 was released in 2005, when any new bans became permanent.

In order for it to be funny there'd need to be some kind of exaggeration. Some visual that'd get a chuckle or at least a smile even if it's only wry. I don't see a joke here. No allusion to the stations of the cross, or Thanksgiving dinner getting let off. At no point in your post did you even come close to telling an actual joke.

dont take it seriously really made this thread expecting people to follow up with jokes then i remembered its full of people who are sick vac remover beggers, i accept people explaining detailed history and such, actually appreciate it.
