My VAC ban is indeed wrong but...
Partly it's my fault. About seven years ago, out of ignorance, I deposited my skins into a scam site that kept asking: "Add another $5, then $10, $15, $20..." to withdraw my winnings. Thank God I realized I'd fallen into a trap in time, left, and at least kept my inventory, which is still in my profile. Incidentally, my profile is public, so anyone can see it. In my grief, I decided to do something stupid, but I didn't fully believe it was that stupid. I decided to download Skin Changer to make up for the pain of losing a few skins. At the time—this was 2017-18—nothing was said about bans for Skin Changer. People were just getting kicked out of the lobby, and only when they were playing official modes. At the time, I only played on community servers, which, by the way, can also be seen in the screenshots I saved. I don't remember exactly whether I wrote an appeal back then or not, but on October 3rd I decided to write to Steam support again, as I had a thought that maybe I didn't write to support back then because I was younger, stupider, and simply afraid to tell the whole story.

I think that VAC was partly a mistake, since Skin Changer didn't give me any advantage over other players and wasn't a cheat, considering that people weren't banned for it at the time.

I understand that this account will most likely not be unbanned. I have had a new one for a long time, about 7 years, and 903 hours in CSGO-CS2.

But honestly, it's a shame about this one. I miss the vibes of this particular account, how we played with friends on custom servers in zombie modes, in zombie escape, and I even left my skins here, invested hard-earned money.

At least they had to be sold, or exchanged to another account before using this Skin Changer.

But I was naive, that's the story.

P.S. I would also like to know from the experts who respond to others in the discussions why the VAC was issued, and whether it was reviewed on my account or not.

skin changer = vac ban. anything that tampers with game files is a cheat. skin changers tamper with game files.

doesnt matter if it gives you an advantage or not.

Skin changers are cheats.

The ban is correct.

Skin changers do the same thing as cheats; they modify the game files. Aside from that, you're acquiring skins that you didn't earn.
You simply weren't properly informed back then, as it was already known back then that this was considered cheating.

And it's wrong to say that your ban "most likely" won't be removed. It definitely won't be removed. That should be clear to you, after all, you've had plenty of time to read the information in your profile:
https://psteamhelp.yuanyoumao.com/en/faqs/view/571A-97DA-70E9-FF74

And yes, VAC has even checked your account several times, but I have no idea how this knowledge helps you if it's clear that a cheat was used?

The ban is correct.

But in 2017–2018, many players weren't banned for this. And the Skin Changer interpretation is incorrect, as it didn't provide any advantage over other players.

With a skin changer you can easily make your opponents neon, giving an advantage..

Honestly, I was just interested in hearing from knowledgeable people and discussing this in more detail. Regarding your comments, even at that point, the ban wasn't entirely appropriate, as many forum users, streamers, and YouTubers were testing this principle and were simply kicked out of their sessions without setting a VAC.

In fact, you have just made a discovery for me, as I didn't even think that such functionality existed in it. Since I always pursue a purely creative and aesthetic interest in everything in life, including games, what I just learned is wild to me.

You can keep saying that you're not really guilty or that the ban wasn't appropriate, but it won't change your punishment.

As I said, the skin changer modifies the game files, even without the neon thing, that is something that is simply not allowed by Valve and as a side effect you also get skins that you neither earned nor purchased.
You just admitted that the account was hijacked due to your own ignorance. Therefore, the ban is not wrong at all. You are responsible for the security of your account and all activity on your account.

I'm not pursuing the goal of having my "punishment" changed, as you've decided for me, so I described above that most likely there won't be an unban. I'm simply discussing the whole essence of the situation, that the whole situation around this is extremely strange, many truly innocent people were banned, and that these skins weren't even visible to other players.

It's almost certain that no one was banned innocently, and whether others can see the skins doesn't matter at all.

You can't do anything about it anyway, the band is correct and permanent or it would have been removed a long time ago. So, making this thread was a huge waste of your time. The information is right on your profile beside the ban notice. You could have saved yourself the trouble and read it.

In fact, I am not completely sure that my account was hijacked, and I would also like you to clarify whether the login information and password on my account were actually changed to a different email address by third parties. Most likely, the technical specialists of Steam support have information about such changes on accounts.
The forums aren't the place to discuss your ban either. No one here can remove it because we are seam users just like you.

Even Steam Support cannot remove it. Again, all of this is linked on your profile. Had you bothered to read it. I'll never understand why you guys have these very old bans and you don't read anything about them.

You need to read the information again because it doesn't matter who used the account to cheat. It only matters that cheating occurred.

They can certainly see that things were changed, again. That doesn't matter because it does not matter who use the account to cheat.
