vulnerability within the steam guard
I recently got all my cs2 items stolen from me in a domain spoofing scam, but the thing that bothers me the most about this trade scam was on my mobile guard for confirming the trade it showed that I was confirming a trade to my friend steam profiles and the trade went through to a completely different account. I fell like it should be known that IT IS possible for the steam guard to show false conformations.

The vulnerability it the end user. Steam guard or for that matter any 2fa is not magic. It's just another key needed to get into your account, but this key changes every 30 seconds.

When someone has access to your account they have the same control that you do. Including canceling and trade and sending it to a different account.

You gave away the info to a scam trade site most likely.

Thats how most users get their accounts highjacked.

They use those scam sites so that they can cash out on their items.
Which is a violation of Steam ToS, btw.

You are the vulnerability. You provided your login credentials along with the 2fa code to the skin site you logged into, that same information you entered was saved immediately utilized. What is known it is possible for people to be mistaken in believing they did nothing wrong.
