I'm getting this too

Profile editing cooldown lasts about 4 hours.

It's been more then 4 hours it refuses to save and showcases have been vanishing 1 by 1 or reseting its really getting annoying.

I think what's happened is that they patched out the thing that let you duplicate showcases, and now anyone who has them can't update

But you can buy aditional show cases, why would they patch that ?

Me too. I haven't been able to change anything since July 11th until now. I still can't change it. I don't know if this is an issue with their server or not.

There's currently some intermittent issues with the showcase feature, please try the following as a workaround:

1. Unset all of the showcases (Select "None")
2. Click "Save" at the bottom
3. Close the page, reopen it and try setting it again

Yeah. It's because you used the exploit to showcase 3 Favorite Games.

Fixed it for me when i removed show case that did have same guide in show case, not sure if it was related.

You can't have more than 2 of the Same showcase.

There was an exploit that people used to have more than 2 of the Same showcase.

It is the replacement of an unused display case with a selected display case.

Correct. The exploit Valve patched. They also deleted the guide on how to do it.

And should Valve have done it in the first place? Replaces an unused display cabinet. There are many showcases. that I don't care And I want to change them to Showcase of favorite games (feature)

They had a current limit and wanted it to be kept that way.

They may introduce more Additional Showcase slots in the future but now, 2 per type is what they want to allow.
