The 3 scaling modes are pixel, linear & "sharp" which is FSR. Selecting the latter gives you another slider which you can play around to get what looks best for you. I think, I'm going with 2.
Linear looks, I think, decent for 2D games with a drawn style direction. Pixel scaling works for 2D pixel art games. You can set this stuff on a per-game basis as well.
What you also can do is to forego scaling entirely and have SteamOS launch that game at the native screen resolution. No scaling. Me & my GF play HOGs on the TV this way.
