Banned after receiving a gift even though I paid the debt
Hey everyone, I need help understanding my ban.

This is about my old Steam account. A friend gifted me a game (Animal Party), and later he also gifted me a $30 Steam gift card. About two weeks after that, my account got banned.

Steam Support said they can’t do anything, and they closed my ticket without giving me a clear reason.

Important:
After the ban, I even paid the chargeback so that everything would be fixed, but my account stayed banned and Support still says they can’t help.

I’m not trying to argue — I just want to understand what happened and if anyone here knows whether a ban like this can be reviewed or reversed.

I’m confused, what do you mean. “Paid the chargeback”?

Did you do a chargeback? Did your friend chargeback the card or game they bought?

I dont think you are telling us the whole story....

If your friend gifted you a game/gift card through steam and your friend did a chargeback on those... all that would happen to your account would be that the game/wallet funds are removed from your account, your account doesnt get banned.
Your friend however would receive a payment ban for the chargebacks on their account.

What did you pay for? If you really just got gifts from a friend then you shouldn't have had to pay for anything.

You mentioned a chargeback and provided no elaboration.

you went from

"i got a gift"

to

"i paid back the chargeback"

there is an entire story in the middle
