Developers and Publishers didn't put their new games on a deep discount. That's all.
They abuse people's poor impulse control and it worked flawlessly I would say
Instructions unclear, forgot to buy because devs/publishers forgot to discount
So the answer is clear: corporate greed. That's it.
Basically "black friday" is an American thing that was created by your own consummer industry and they decided to drop the ball this year as far as I can gather from all the complaints...
