Counter-Strike: Source. I still have the disc copy that I used back in 2008.

Technically, I would say it's "Darksiders", but it's not the oldest game on my account.

That's the oldest license on this account. However, you can see that this was a giveaway. So...

That is the first game on Steam I actually purchased (Note: the Warmastered Edition was added later by the publisher; at the time of purchase this was just the original game. I probably still have the DVDs floating around somewhere).

But, Steam didn't get money for this. Or maybe they did; I don't know whether publishers using Steam on their physical releases was free. So....

First game I released on Steam? A mod of a Valve game, in 2017. One of the few mods on Steam that isn't labelled as a mod because the base game is free and open source.

Bioshock: Infinite (I got a free retail key for it and Tomb Raider (2013) from buying a graphics card or something back when I built my (now ancient) PC). I opened a Steam account to retrieve those keys.

Portal, picked it up in a giveaway (because Valve has done that for their own games from time to time over the years) back when the game was still relatively new.
