You'll only find my screenshot if you dig through thousands upon thousands of them on a specific gaming hub.
the hub itself is self filtered out for people who don't own that game or have no interest in looking at that game. But you can't really filter out a steam avatar.
It was uploaded 13 years ago, it was removed yesterday.
Meanwhile steam allows way worse content in their official steam point shop. I'm about to buy an animated anime girl just to show off how crazy this is.
But heaven forbid I use a pixilated, blurry 1997 image of a woman in a bikini from a videogame.
Edit: Just bought the avatar, apparently this is allowed.
This reminds me when people thought you could use a tomb raider nude code on laura craft...lol.
to be fair they did include nude lara in promo materials.

That wasn't the one that got flagged but now it will be. They actually flagged and removed the more tame screenshots where they don't flash.
Was the caption you wrote offensive?
In that case, well…I’ll just say this isn’t the first time I’ve seen someone say they had a relatively tame profile picture taken down by Steam’s mods. If you send a direct email to Steam support showing the picture that was taken down alongside the achievement image-you might get someone to overturn it.
It’s why I try to keep all my (non-point shop purchased) profile pics EXTREMELY tame in the “risqué” department-thus I’ll probably never have a custom Classic Lara Croft, Rayne from Bloodrayne, Bayonetta, etc. profile pic even though I love all of those characters. People are way too easily offended over the showing of (pixelated) skin and/or cleavage, IMHO. Many of those same people have little to no problem with extremely gory imagery in games glorifying war. Make it make sense….
Even though their point shop items are just as bad if not worse.
So if you see 10,000 screenshots of this in duke nukem you are suppose to report every single one.
In which case the staff couldn't or wouldn't elaborate. There is nothing good that would come of. Telling you what was really there, or telling their own staff the same. The only thing that'd be likely to accomplish is to get you or them to look for a program to extract the image.
I find it hard to believe it was suddenly mass reported now. Given that governments are starting to get involved, and payment providers are getting cold feel. I suspect that Valve is starting to run sophisticated sniffers. Like a lot of companies are starting to do.
I think that the image you had was hinky, and that the automated system removed it. Frankly that was the first thought I had given the time frame. Thirteen years ago was about the time that stuff like that was blowing up. Anyway if I were you, and you still have it. I would just delete that.
I'm not able to delete it because steam won't let me so I can't even do that
I find it funny how the steam point shop items are way more lewd than the screenshots I've taken and you can't filter out an avatar.
My 13 year old screenshot had 7 views that's not even 1 view a year and it gets taken down now?
But everyone will see an avatar, so why is such lewd content allowed in point shop?
