Hello, so I want to start off by being very clear, I have an open ticket but steam clearly didn't read my ticket so I'm turning to the community.

Yesterday I was playing Sims and is aver and quit and then steam updated. After that it wouldn't let me go online, let alone open steams website which takes too long to respond.

I know the first thing you will want to say is network error, or that file everyone talks about removing.

Let me just say I have had my Internet provider check things, I had my laptop checked, mind you it's only a year old and still new and this was the first time in that year I played a game and was excited to play.

I have unplugged all extensions devices. I uninstalled steam, I checked all my firewall settings. I'm not on a proxy. I checked the task manager I checked the performance I checked any security things anything to do with my router and modem I unplugged and restarted those. I am connected to the Internet. I have good connection.

I checked everything, even had three friends spend hours going through every article on reddit about this issue.

There's no issue with my plugs or the ports there's no other devices. Nothing is slow no interference with anything else.

I've run the diagnostic tests I've done everything.



So my question is Why can't I connect to steams website on my laptop and why did steam stop working.

I can't make any sense of it and I feel entirely disrespected when submitting my ticket.
