Gaming has taught me a lot, especially the players I've cooperated with and competed against.
I owe Gabe Newell, Steam, and everyone involved in the gaming space a tremendous amount.
The value I've received is truly incomprehensible.
Because over 1.400 of those... "sparks" are currently on my "Blocked" list.
Let me share something beyond just making friends online.
When I played Dota 2, I often clashed with my teammates.
You probably know what I mean, cursing, blaming, yelling, absolute chaos.
Those experiences, though, taught me valuable lessons that shaped me into a better team player, leader, listener, strategist, and observer.
Over three years of trying to play Dota 2 competitively and climb the ranking system, I realized I was far more capable than I had thought.
Giving myself credit for the effort I put in was easier said than done.
I carry these lessons into every aspect of my real life.
