I recently came across a situation involving a Steam user who claimed to be part of “Steam Support Leadership.” The interaction included requests to disable Steam Guard, share full screen via Discord, provide bank statements, and purchase gift cards from external sites like Eneba as part of a “verification” or “insurance” process.


🧩 Has anyone else seen this?
- Have you encountered similar support claims or profiles?
- Is this a known scam pattern or something Steam has addressed before?
- Are there official resources or threads that clarify what legitimate support looks like?

🛡️ What I Know
- Valve does not conduct support via Discord.
- Steam staff do not ask for gift card purchases or bank screenshots.
- Steam Guard should never be disabled at someone else’s request.
