Your hiding your games, so that is a turnoff. Make your games public so people can see what you have first. That is one step on making friends on steam. Hiding your games is a bad thing if you want to make friends, at least early on. When you have a established friends, then you can start hiding your games.

This also. But the best way to make friends is playing games with random people in games. I met many friends that way. Don't do this in free games though. Most times if you do this in free games, your going to run into cheaters or scammers.

It depends on what games you'd like to play and each other's availablity.

I'd be available on weekends, mostly.

Preferably 18+ as I'm not comfortable with having minors in my "Friends" list as I tend to be rather... blunt in my choice of words.

this is very lame but none of my friends irl play video games :/
none of them have a console to play on or even know what steam is...

I have absolutely no idea how to make friends on steam too. I would play xbox live and make friends on there, but that was 10 years ago and I haven't talked to any of them since.
I understand there's the discussion board group thingys but I'm highkey scared ash to join one and make friends...

ahhh that makes a lot of sense.. Thank you all so much! I figured this would be a really easy way to meet people since i can't play all the time... I'm really quick to block people and not interact if it's weird/uncomfy so i'm not too worried about that, but I do really appreciate the concern! I've played online pretty much my whole life so 100% yes. I agree and totally get it.

The quick turning you off over a quick to block, plus the use of a comma with a capitalized letter right after it, including not capitalizing the 'T' at the start of a sentence, and the improper use of 'kinda' super, duper turned my faucet off.

OP needs to be really careful because there's folks who catfish others and it's never a pretty sight.
