Roughly the same.
It is kind of a perverted logic in which the publishers realise there is going to be more people around summer and Christmas and they don't want to lower their prices too much. But sometimes they look at the sale charts in between when less people are watching and they give candy around for a short period of time...
pretty much all the major sales like summer/autumn/spring/winter sales will be roughly the same. so if you buy games now or later is up to you. also it depends on some games, might no longer get discounts due to some factors
Game publishers know fools will hype themselves up for said sales and will discount games LESS, than on some random interim sale. Frankly, I would do the same.
