You should just contact support, I think. Just do what the message suggests. That's the way forward.
I believe that, unless one has been subjugated, one always means well. And any notion of "wrongdoing" is just a matter of one being misunderstood. If you can believe that as well, there is no reason for anyone to be banished. There is only a reason for people to understand eachother.
Welp good luck
Steam is leftist mod governed so they wont do anything
Happened to me too multipe times
Just going to point out that according to the screenshot you were banned by game's developer, not by a hub moderator.
As for accountability, the game hubs are owned by developers of the game to who Valve have given right to moderate as they see fit (essentially no different if the developer set up their own forum). Hub moderators are accountable to the developers that assigned them, not Valve. Valve will not step in unless developer or moderator does something really egregious (Like what happened with Domina developer).
It isn't clearly from the two snapshots of the negative experience of only two players had if that represents the feelings of 0.1% or 1% or 10% or 51% of the players. Two is not a very large sample size to try to produce statistics from.
From Steam game forums is largely going to be for helping the developer/publisher accomplish their mission. They want their game to be the hottest party in town and the "on-topic" discussions will largely be how to keep the party going or improve it.
If the developer or publisher is acting in bad faith, then Steam offers the review system. Currently this game is reviewed by 211 members of the Steam community. Still not a great sample size but is still larger than just 2. It is telling the trend of the reviews is mixed.
If you feel the review system is not enough because the developer or publisher has been issuing misleading promises then contact Steam support and/or a video game journalist that you feel you can trust.
I am sorry about the frustration with getting banned. But ultimately, it might not have been the right place to state your case and there are other paths you can attempt.
Unless you can provide proof that they’re breaking the law or Steam’s terms of service, they can do pretty much whatever they want with the authority they’re given.
There's more to this story... Much more.
"Trust me when i say, gaming is better without you around"
Quote from the OP........
Whether that's aimed at a player or developer, that's not the right way to go about it....
Again, more to this story, but will OP tell us it?
Needless to say, I no longer give that dev my money or time. I’d suggest anyone else finding themselves in a similar situation do the same. The only languages some devs understand is money & playercount. Don’t give them either.
Yeah, no. Left or right doesn’t matter in most of these cases-because the bans cannot be overturned by Steam at all.
I was also banned for life from a gamehub by a developer for "harassment" because I criticized them for demonstrably using unfair means with the help of the media to try to boost their sales.
That just shows how customers are treated on this platform. Unfortunately, enough people go along with it and continue to buy and everything is being swept under the carpet.
The exclusion criterias are just as fishy as those in the main area of the Steam discussion platform. The worst thing about it is that the so called "support" naturally sides with the developers, because it's all about profit and reputation (not that Valve cares about its own reputation, they are too big for that) and customers can't reach the responsible parties through normal ways.
Says two people part of a massive group that will mass brigade Steam Support to get one of their own unbanned.
Please don't be silly.
For actual fact, Steam is not leftist and game related forums are nothing to do with Steam. They are operated by their devs/publishers of that game.
Steam only mod their own forums, and that's an outside company that has the contract too.
Not everything is partisan.
And anything you don't like is not some lefty movement.
